Turbeville is... "a great place to live, work, and grow." Greetings and thanks for stopping by to visit the Town of Turbeville's web site! My name is Ginie Turbeville, and as Mayor, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Town's web site. Through this resource, our goal is to give both the residents and visitors interesting and helpful Information about our town and county. The Town of Turbeville is located just four miles off I-95, at exit 135, in the northern end of Clarendon County. Turbeville is a rural, faith-based community with old fashioned values and progressive ideas. It is centrally located to the towns of Manning, Sumter, Florence, and Lake City and only a short distance from Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Lake Marion. All major faiths are represented in Turbeville, with Lutheran, Catholic, Episcopalian, and Jewish houses of worship just miles away. Our school district is exceptional. Classes are small enough to provide personal attention, but large enough to insure a quality education. Institutions of higher learning are located nearby in Sumter and Florence. Turbeville is primarily an agricultural community. Many residents commute short distances to jobs outside of Town but return here to be "home". We are a small town and close knit community that cares about her fellow residents. Turbeville is truly "a great place to live, work and grow"! After looking through our web site, should you have any questions about our town, please feel free to contact me through the email address or telephone number found on the contact page of the web site. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by to
visit! We sincerely hope you will stop by for a personal visit
when you are in the area.
